About Me:
My name is Kelly I am currently a nursing student at FAU in Boca Raton...I will be graduating May of 09'!!! I hope to get a position in labor and delivery, peds or NICU. I love to watch football and the Dallas Cowboys are soo going to the Superbowl this year! ;) My mother was a nurse and she is my inspiration. She passed away when I was 14 as a result of breast cancer. Our story is remarkable....she underwent chemo and had a mastectomy and went into remission. Because of the chemo she was said to be infertile...months later she found another lump and when she went to have a biopsy done they told her she could not have anesthesia because she was pregnant. Her doctor advised her to abort the baby but she refused...my baby sister was born 8 weeks early weighing merely 2 pounds 3 ounces. My mother passed away 3 days after she was born...today my little sister is 8 years old and a twin of my mother!
