    Thank you for the request. I am a Ham operator who is currently involved with a drive for new members into Ham life. It is a great skill to have under your belt in times of emergency. We are upgrading our system at the hospital to be more hand held friendly. It is a fact that during an emergency many times there is no communication except for Ham radio and miltary ops.
