About Me:
I am a midwest girl at heart. Born and raised in the middle of corn country in Illinois. Moved to Florida in 2000 to spend time by the gulf of mexico...LOVE IT. I live on 6 acres in Myakka City, which is about as country as you will get in SouthWest Florida. The beach is only 20 minutes away. Best of both worlds is how I figure it. Anyway it works for me. My draw in nursing is Hospice. I really feel a connection to the whole idea of body, mind, and spirit connection and how it all plays out at the end of life. My hospice patients have been some of my Greatest teachers of life. In fact I wrote a book about it, "A Hospice Nurse Finds the Many Faces of God". After the book was published I took a break from Hospice and started working for a small Home Health Agency within the Administration area as DON. I still get patient contact with all the admissions, but my heart is longing for hospice again. So we will see what happens. I am thrilled to find all you nurses at Nursing Link.

    i lost my password, but i got a new one so i think i am all set. i think i may have to become a traveleling nurse to support my family because there is a glut ofob nurses here. yikes.......i really love how you have been sending me messages. i have been avoiding the computer to tell the truth. i started a new group that will surely get folks yacking about waterbirth. i hope i get some feedback. when done under the correct circumstances, it really is quite remarkable. cheers, and stay safe in these storms. elle
