OK...I am new to the Navy...about four months in! I am still learning about PTSD and the alarming influx of soldiers with it, myself...I will have to look into this to find out for you...I know that all bases hire contract and civilian nurses in their hospitals to fill the gaps when the military nurses deploy. I found this really cool link with soooo much info: http://www.ncptsd.va.gov/ncmain/providers/ check it out when you get a chance...maybe the best way is to specialize in psych, become an NP? You will have no shortage of work, unfortunately...
