Posted 2 months ago Hey I'm interested in starting an adult day care and I was wondering if anybody knows if medicare/medicaid covers this. TC RN

| Posted 2 months ago As far as I've heard, Medicare/aid does not cover adult day care. This is paid for out-of-pocket by children or other relatives similar to the fees that one would pay for child day care. I'm pretty sure it's less than $75/day, though. I do know people who take their elderly/disabled patients to day care, though, and they love it. The old people love it; there's food and activities and field trips. It's a really good option for adult children (and 1 in 4 people currently are taking care of their aging parents in some capacity) who need to go to work and need a break from caregiving.
