Posted 3 months ago I am an LPN who recently relocated to Charlotte, NC. Anyone out there have any advice concerning jobs in this area ? From what I have gathered so far, most opportunities are in LTC. It seems the hospitals here only hire RNs. Thanks in advance ! |

Posted 3 months ago I'm a new grad who's been job-hunting in the near Charlotte area.. when I've seen stats on area hospitals, they may have 2-3 LPNs in the entire hospital. It would seem that you're right about the hospitals not hiring many. I don't know any specifics other than that though--sorry I couldn't offer other tips or places to look.

Posted 3 months ago i have recently moved to south carolina however my husband works in charlotte nc and as i have looked for jobs i havent found any in ltc only with the staffing agency. i worked in hospital's in texas and it wasnt something i liked as an LPN however i may enjoy it as an RN that i will restart working on. so if you get any good jobs in ltc let me know. i love the ltc setting i have been an lpn for 12 years and i have worked as adon as well as a nurse on the floor when we were short staffed, which is always. so i have always worked in ltc.

Posted 3 months ago You will probably have better luck at a physicians office than in the hospital. I have lived in the Charlotte area for 4 years and have only run into LPN's in the Dr's offices. Good luck

Posted 3 months ago I live in TN but look at travel jobs and I see jobs in the correctional and mental health field alot. I know this is not for everyone but I know they were begging for LPNs and RNs. Good Luck

Posted about 1 month ago Hi NC_Nurse I'm new in Charlotte, NC (and the US), but I know about the Carolinas Healthcare System. Go to their website and see what jobs they have available. Once I have my nursing license I would like to apply there too. Good luck with your search. Where I come from LPN's or as we call them Staff nurses, are the backbone of most hospitals and they usually are the people helping RN's and other nurses to become the good nurses they are today. Don't give up. Also I know about Presbyterian hospital, but I haven't done my research on them yet. Also try the new VA clinic that just opened a month or so ago here in Charlotte.
