I once was jogging down the street, and saw this injured puddle lying in the street, I turned around, and went in the same direction, and saw the puddle, crawling on it's belly, as though his legs, and spine was broken, he was trying to crawl on the sidewalk, but couldn't.  So, while walking by, it looked at me with its little black eyes, and barked at me, like he was saying help me!  I wanted to cry instantly. I can tell the puddle was in alot of pain. I told the puddle I would go and get some help. So I saw two sheriffs, sitting in a car. I walked up to them, and told them, that their was a injured puddle, that looked as though he had got hit by a car, and that his legs, and back spine was broken. I told them his location. The sheriffs, said that they would call the animal control department, and have him picked up. I know the prognosis, that they would have to put it to sleep. Has anyone ever rescued a injured animal before? if so,  how, and what kind of animal.

Maybe this dog was able to be saved. Sounds like he was alert and that is a good sign. I have found so many injured animals. We had a wildlife group in GA so that is where I usually ended up with my injured birds, raccoons, etc.
