Posted about 1 month ago I am trying to send a link for yall who have pets........................I love dogs! I found out I have been doing the wrong thing when it comes to his phobia with thunderstorms. He is such a beautiful and loving dog............Siberian Husky named Fred. I have been doing the 'cuddling and comforting thing' with him. According to this article, I have been doing the wrong thing! By doing that, I am reinforcing his scaredy dog behavior! | Posted about 1 month ago Welcome to my world Angiew. The scardy dog thing. I have 2 200 lb english mastiffs. They are chicken dogs. Don't get me wrong if you came after me or threatened me, they would probably eat you. if you talk to your dog, like a person, they will be more relaxed. Even if the storm makes you nervous. I hope this works for your dog. I had a Husky and if I talked to him, as long as he laid on the floor next to me, he was fine. |

| Posted about 1 month ago Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee....................it got sent! Fred looks so fierce, he doesnt like strange men in uniforms, espcially the UPS guy. Lol......both my exhusbands were military. #1 Air Force #2 Navy.....................my current husband is Army retired <.#3> and he isn't going anywhere.............not even allowed to go to Hooters. Fred and I might have more in common than I thought previously! We only have one heart, take care of it! Angie |

| Posted about 1 month ago I baby my dog...I lay with her on the floor, she lays in my lap....she is the most spoiled thing in the house, besides my hubby...ha ha, but she is not scardy dog by any means...she is very much the opposite. However, she does have anxiety and Lisa is correct, if you speak to them like you would an adult it relaxes them. The differences in pitch in your voice can help....don't sound too excited or anxious yourself and it should help calm him. Taylor's Wife, Navy Wife Proud and Strong!

| Posted about 1 month ago My golden Morgan isn't afraid of thunder but he does not like fireworks, although he just stays close and doesn't shake. However, he has a very healthy respect for the two cat people who live here, which he outweighs by 70lbs. Lisa when I first read your post, I thought you said you had a 2200 lb dog and then I realized you said you had 2 two hundred lb mastiffs. Funny how things catch your attention Deb
